Plakads Realty is thrilled to share exciting news about Kolkata’s upcoming Metro line, which will offer seamless travel between Dakshineswar and Ruby for just Rs 45. The new Metro line connects the Blue Line (Dakshineswar-New Garia) and the Orange Line (New Garia-Airport), with a single-ticket system approved by the Railway Board for easy and affordable travel.

Commuters traveling from Dakshineswar and Dum Dum stations on the Blue line to Hemanta Mukherjee station (Ruby crossing) on the Orange line will pay Rs 45. The fare decreases to Rs 40 for passengers from stations like Chandni Chowk, Esplanade, Park Street, and Kalighat to Ruby Crossing. From Tollygunge (Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station) onwards, the fare is only Rs 35 to reach Ruby.

For those using only the truncated Orange line, the fare ranges from Rs 5 to Rs 20, depending on the distance. The 5.4km Orange line is ready for launch, and passengers can buy a single token for both the Blue and Orange lines from Day 1 of Phase 1 commissioning. This integration is the first of its kind in Kolkata, eagerly awaited by the city.

Plakads Realty recognizes the importance of efficient transportation for city development and believes the Metro line will significantly boost Kolkata’s infrastructure and connectivity. This development will create new opportunities for real estate investment and growth around Metro stations.

Overall, the upcoming Metro line is excellent news for Kolkata, and we anticipate its positive impact on the city’s growth and development.
